2 DAY INTENSIVE BUTTERCREAM COURSE on 14th & 15th May, 2011

First things first.....

Today, the 17th of May 2011, is a public holiday in Malaysia. It is Wesak Day, a day celebrated by Buddhists. So Chef Baini would like to take this opportunity to wish all her friends of the Buddhist faith a very happy Wesak Day! Hope you have a great day today!

Yes, dear friends, Chef Baini is back with another Intensive Buttercream Course. Today Chef Baini had just three students. Just as well, because then Chef Baini can focus more on her students because the class spread over two days is really quite intensive!

Lets meet the attendees today.....they are Linda, Zana and Nora,..... and here they are below, getting straight to it.....you may notice that Jannah is seated next to Chef Baini, preparing herself for the day when she will sit in the Chef's chair!

Here is Zana filling up her piping bag with buttercream to lay on her cake...

Here's little Miss You-know-Who bossing Nora around! Sometimes Jannah enjoys helping Mom a little too much!

Of course, Chef Baini is always there to show her students the finer points of decoration, which has become her halllmark...

And you can see the seriousness of Linda, Zana and Nora as they go about their work...they are really determined to make their work a success...

Below is a close-up of some flowers piped by hand. Some of you may recognise what kind of flowers they are: the Hibiscus (or Bunga Raya, that is Malaysia's national flower) and Daisies....

After 2 days of hard work, here are the cakes that the three of them produced. Notice the techniques that they had learned: The Basket Weave, Leaves, Carnations, Roses plus other flowers....

And the fun, girly cakes that make you feel like a kid again. Chef Baini won't tell you who's who....

Especially who is the Spongebob Suqarepants! This is the littlest kid of all!

That's what went on at Chef Baini's home this past weekend, dear friends!
Hope you had fun reading today;s blog!
Until next time,

Love always,

Chef Baini.
