Six Tier Wedding Glory Cake on Saturday, May 8 2010

6 Tier Wedding Glory Cake

Salam, once again everyone!

By far, today's cake proved to be Chef Baini's most challenging assignment. It was for a wedding somewhere in the Klang Valley. Chef and gang had to arrive very early to assemble the cake.
The client wanted a 6 tier cake measuring almost four feet in height. It was quite a task....

Now, the cakes have to assembled in-situ, or On-site. Its simply too large to fit in a car whereas if it were to fit in a van, the journey might damage the cake......

Here Chef Baini puts the finishing touches by tying a ribbon on the top cake as a mark of completion....

The decorative beads/ lacework must be done after the cake is assembled...

But the cakes must be leveled...here Chef and her assistant are doing just that...

A special pavilion was erected to house the cake cutting ceremony....

Phew! At last!....

Fully finished, this is how it ended up looking...
for those who love to count, the cake:
1) has 250 roses;
2) Took 21 kgs of fondant icing; and
3) Over 12 kgs of flour...

Now, Chef has to credit her assistants in helping her make this cake a success...
First, younger brother Sharin who helped assembled her cake
(his picture is above, you know, the young man wearing the orange shirt)

Then naturally, Jannah who painted all the roses and other flowers....
plus a host of little things too numerous to mention.....

And finally, Milla, who never fails to give Chef Baini constant moral support!

Thanks for dropping by, friends!
I hope you enjoyed reading this blog!
Until next time,

Love, Chef Baini and family....
