HOLIDAY ADVENTURE PORT DICKSON (14-15 June 2010)

Two kids napping in the car on the way to Port Dickson....

Salam Friends!
The recent school holidays just ended, and Chef Baini and family took
a quick break to Port Dickson, a nearby seaside town that Chef and family have not been to for quite some time. Chef checked out a place called Tiara Beach Resort on the net and made a booking.

Chef and family were pleasantly surprised to discover the place has a tremendous pool.
It also has slides and lots of other stuff to make it a great place to spend with your family!
The price? Very reasonable!

What are holidays for if you can't be silly and get away with it!
What do you think? Does Jannah make a better Mermaid than she does a Duck?

Of course, the Babams had to be a Macho Man and signed up himself and junior cadet Ariff for some shooting practice. Chef had to quietly tell the Babams a bit later that just carrying a gun does not make a Macho Man...having a suitable body is a big part of it!
Maybe he should spend some time in the gym, hee hee!

Chef Baini and the Kids tried go-karting at the X-treme Sports Centre nearby....
Chef Baini and Jannah took the double while Ariff took the single seater...

Ready, Get Set,...and GO!

Chef Baini, no Schumacher by any measure, had to speed around 8 laps per session.
Naturally, Ariff the speedster won easily! Not satisfied, Ariff tried to coax the Babams to drive the car around the parking lot! No way, kiddo! Not until you're a little older!

Now, Chef and family are natural beach people. So they paid a visit to Telok Kemang, a very popular public beach. They were super surprised to find a very clean and organised public beach and clear waters. The Babams commented that he can actually see the beach floor at a water's depth of 4 feet. The Babams couldn't recall waters at Port Dickson this clear in recent memory.

Jannah, as usually, tried to find shells to add to her collection. The Babams found a mudskipper that rested on him while he was in five feet of water! This visit to Port Dickson was full of plesant surprises!

There was also a show at the resort by a troupe of acrobats from China. We didn't take pictures but took videos instead. Unfortunately they were too large to upload so we could share them with you!

The Babams decided to treat everyone to a grand dinner at Selesa Beach Resort...

Here, Chef and the kids were checking out the menu....

And a grand dinner it was. The Babams, however, made short work of his meal in order to focus on the Holland game that was on at the time. Holland won 2-0!

Finally, bedtime!
You-know-who bought her friend to keep her company under the covers!

We had a terrific time! Hope you and yours enjoyed the recent holidays as much as we did!

Love, Chef Baini.
